Trauma Injury Prev Coord RN
Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, TX. is seeking a Full Time Trauma Injury Prevention Coordinator. Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital is a 636-bed specialty care teaching hospital and the only Level 1 Trauma Center between Dallas and Austin.
The Trauma Injury Prevention Coordinator plays a vital role in our trauma services team by focusing on community outreach, injury prevention, and education. This position is key in supporting our Level I Trauma Center's commitment to reducing preventable injuries and improving patient outcomes across the continuum of care.
Working in this role, you will collaborate closely with hospital staff, EMS, and the broader community to implement evidence-based programs and provide education on critical safety topics. You’ll serve as both an educator and liaison, making a direct impact both inside the hospital and throughout the region.
In this role, you can expect to:
• Lead Stop the Bleed education and training programs in schools, workplaces, and public events
• Coordinate fall prevention initiatives for both inpatient populations and at-risk community members
• Serve as a liaison between the hospital and community to strengthen pre/post-hospital care coordination
• Participate in multidisciplinary trauma rounds and collaborate with nursing staff to support inpatient fall prevention strategies
• Analyze injury data to identify trends and target populations for prevention outreach
• Collaborate with trauma program leadership to support state and national trauma designation requirements related to prevention
• Develop educational materials and lead awareness campaigns for seasonal and high-risk injuries (e.g., motor vehicle crashes, elderly falls, firearm safety)
• Support performance improvement efforts within the trauma program
This is a highly collaborative and community-focused role, perfect for a motivated healthcare professional passionate about education, public safety, and trauma care.
Requirements of the Ideal Candidate
· Graduate of RN School of Nursing
· ADN required
· Active RN License
· Basic Life Support (BLS) Require or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer

Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in Nursing.
A minimum of (3) three years' experience in the field is desired.
RN license.
Applicants must have BLS certification, or get it within 30 days of hire.
